Windows to Windows Migration for Divi Desktop Application
Preparation for migration and what you will need.
- One USB stick 1 GB or larger or an external hard drive with 1GB of free space or more.

Two windows computers
- The original computer with the existing Divi Desktop Application

A receiving computer that meets the minimum specifications.

On the receiving computer

Install the Windows Divi Desktop Application
- Allow syncing fully (you will not need to set up any feature yet)

PART 1 BACKUP
Six simple steps:
- Close Divi Desk Application
(not minimize, exit completely) - On Keyboard
Press the Windows key + r key
(this will open a run box) - In the run box enter
%appdata%
Click OK - Open the folder titled "DIVI" (not Divi Desktop)
- Copy the following 4 items
- backups(folder)
- monthlyBackups(folder)
- masternode.conf
- wallet.dat
F. Copy these to your USB
Now you have a migration copy and a backup on a USB
PART 2 MIGRATION
Recipient Computer
- Ensure the wallet is fully synced
- Don't backup the keys from this sync setup.
- Just sit back and wait for it to become fully synced, you may close all other popup screens or accept the use of primer as an option.
- Close Divi Desk Application
(not minimize, exit completely) - On Keyboard
Press the Windows key + r key
(this will open a run box) - In the run box enter
%appdata%
Click OK - Open the folder titled "DIVI"
(not Divi Desktop) - DELETE the following 4 items
- backups(folder)
- monthlyBackups(folder)
- masternode.conf
- wallet.dat
- Copy and paste the items from your USB backup into this folder
- backups
- monthlyBackups
- masternode.conf
- wallet.dat
- Close windows file explorer
- Open Divi Desktop
After completing these steps, your old wallet should have been successfully transferred to your new computer. Remember to keep your USB backup in a secure location, as it serves as a complete and reliable backup of your wallet and can be used for emergency recovery in the future.
It's important to note that running both the original and new migration wallet at the same time may cause a key divergence, so it's best to avoid doing so.
